Updates for the Week

Editing Photo Captions
Just finished an update so that users can update the photo captions after sharing their photo on Pikter. This will enable those of us who mess up every once and a while and spell things wrong… or if we just decide what we entitled the photo isn’t great… then guess what, it can now be changed!

To edit the photo caption, simply log in, visit the photo you’d like to edit (via your Pikter Stream) while viewing the photo’s individual page, click on the caption and you’ll be able to edit all you want. Enjoy!

Pikter Stream
All users photos are now “back-streamed” as in if you have more than 10 photos, you will have the option of viewing more than the previous 10. Small update, I know, but definitely worth mentioning.

RSS Stream
Pikter users have their own RSS Pikter Stream. The link is available on any of the user’s photo pages and is also listed on their dashboard.

Mobile Site
We are working on a mobile site (http://m.pikter.com). There is one currently in place but will require mobile devices that has xhtml parsing capabilities (ie. Pocket Internet Explorer). This will enable users to, say… view their Twitter feed, click on their friend’s Pikter link and it will take them to the mobile site instead of attempting to load the full Pikter website on their mobile device.

Public Comments
Allowing non-Pikter users to comment is a feature we are working on. Should be out soon.

We have a few more features coming soon… that, as far as we know, currently are not available any where else. Or, we could just be blind and are missing it.

Stay tuned.
